After the year we’ve had, Christmas can’t come soon enough. Come December, all Singaporeans aged 18 and above will get $100 in digital vouchers for staycations, leisure attractions, and local tours. Totalling over $320million, the government first announced the SingapoRediscovers Vouchers schemes last month in the hopes of re-energising Singapore’s battered tourism sector. 5 Quick Facts about the Vouchers

1. You’ll be getting the SingapoRediscovers Vouchers through your SingPass account.

While the vouchers will be distributed digitally, the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) has stated that it’ll provide assistance to those who have difficulties.

2. The vouchers come in denominations of $10.

So you can either use them in several different attractions, or splurge it all at once for a luxurious staycation.

3. Singaporeans under the age of 18 can get $10 off for six attractions and tours.

Let your kids join in the fun! Adult Singaporeans can purchase six subsidised tickets for their tiny tots.

4. The vouchers can only be used on the attractions, licensed hotels, and local tours that received approval to resume operations from the Singapore Tourism Board.

As of the time of publish, there are 438 tour itineraries, 214 hotels, and 40 attractions given the go-ahead to reopen.

5. The vouchers will be valid from December 2020 to end-June 2021.

It’s even timed for the holiday periods of March, June and December. Time to plan your long holidays next year!
