Jo Artysan – From a 300 sq. ft. Studio to an Orchard Flagship

Jo Artysan’s new flagship outlet opened on April 8, with all their aesthetic treatments ready to go. The outlet’s gleaming interior reflects how Jo Artysan’s founder, Jo Ong, was feeling—she was beaming with pride and joy. 

‘All this would not have been possible without the support of our loyal customers – many of whom have become our close friends. And for this, we are truly, madly and deeply thankful,’ Jo said of the flagship opening.

As you step in its bright, spacious lounge and vanity area, you’re immediately put at ease, with their personable, hospitable staff welcoming you into their space. The redolent fragrance playing in its treatment rooms, the marble counter, the chic decor, all of it lets you relish the timeless elegance of Jo Artysan.

But before all of the glitz, it was a one-woman show. Jo remembers how she first started: a small, humble 300 square feet space. ‘We have come a long, long way,’ Jo reminisced.

Concrete planning into opening the flagship began in early 2020, just before the pandemic hit and Singapore went into lockdown. Special provisions had to be made. They paid extra care when they planned for the social distancing measure within the outlet, even going so far as to dedicate spaces for us to safely sanitise their equipment, tools, and furniture.

‘Safety and comfort are our top priorities. Our biggest challenge was to beautify the outlet without compromising the safety and health of our clients,’ Jo said.

It’s no surprise that Jo is putting so much effort into the new flagship. ‘It has always been a lifelong dream to beautify the world – one brow at a time,’ Jo said. With the flagship, Jo and her team are looking forward to letting all their clients truly enjoy the Jo Artysan experience, all in ultimate comfort.

‘At the end of the day, I want our customers to feel transformed. We absolutely love seeing the happy and satisfied faces after their treatments,’ Jo said. ‘We want to improve our clients’ lives by giving them more confidence and saving them time on applying makeup.’
