The Top 10 Best Briyani in Singapore Rankings

1. Allaudin’s Briyani

Introduction: Allaudin’s Briyani calls itself the “briyani specialist” which probably has some truth. Allaudin’s Briyani Pte Ltd has been selling briyani since the 1950s, which means it has more than 60 years of history in the field. This unassuming briyani stall has been featured in numerous newspapers such as Sunday Times, The Window, You Magazine, Life!eats. As it’s a landmark in Little India, expect plenty of Indian fare. The biryani is very famous; you may choose mutton, chicken or fish as a topping.

Offerings: Served with a generous piece of delicate lamb, chicken or fish (at your choice) soaked in exquisite curry sauce, a bowl of curry and 3 pieces of papadum, this is the signature dish in Allaudin’s Briyani. The yellow basmati rice is fluffy and injected with heaps of flavors. Definitely worth the try!

2. Bismillah Biryani

Introduction: Bismillah Biryani is a four-time winner of Michelin Bib Gourmand, an honourable award that designates the restaurant that serves quality food at good value. Offerings: A definite must-try if you were to patronise the stall – the legendary Chicken Dum Biryani priced at SGD 8.50. It is made up of marinated chicken with basmati rice, boiled egg, and raita. Unlike regular curry-drenched biryani, this is served with raita as the yogurt-based sauce is lighter and helps with digestion. The fork-tender and moist chicken meat goes extremely well with the aromatic rice and raita. The marinated meat is cooked together with the rice – spiced up with saffron and chopped cashew nuts to increase the savoury of it.
